Baby unhappy sleeping in crib

My LO is 8 weeks old and is breastfed.  We recently moved him to his crib and are not having success.  For the past three nights it has taken almost 3 hours to get him to sleep and he wakes up every 2 hours crying.  The only thing that helps him get back to bed is to feed him and even then he wakes up on one hour intervals after that.   He doesn't seem to like being in the crib.  We have a white noise machine and have tried swaddling and unswaddling him and nothing helps.  During the day I have tried to put him in there for naps but he just wakes up as soon as i start to put him down, makes noises and cries again.  Anyone have this problem? Am hoping it is just a transitional phase but am in need of some sleep.
