Teaching baby to sleep somewhere other than crib?!

My son is 12 weeks old, and is a fantastic night time sleeper. Up until about a month ago he was also a fantastic day time sleeper. He would sleep in his swing, in my arms, in the car, etc. now he will only sleep on his stomach in his crib with his same lullaby music. He WILL sleep if I go to run errands, but that us from screaming himself into exhaustion. He only has the ability to stay awake for an hour until he gets fussy. I just set him in his crib and he falls right to sleep on his own. However, he won't allow himself to fall asleep anywhere else without screaming! It makes running errands and going anywhere next to impossible. Any tips?!? Help!!
