remind me when this stage ends

Remind me when the "I must be held every minute of the day" stage ends. I dont feel like DS #1 was like this. I am about to go out of my mind- LO wont let me put him down for 3 minutes a day! He can be very soundly sleeping on me, and I put him down and screams bloody murder. Or he can be screaming bloody murder and the second I pick him up he quiets down.  I put him in the moby or ergo to get things done, but I am beginning to fear this stage wont end!
