Sleeping on stomach?!

Lo has been a horrible sleeper, exsp at night. We tried the basinette for the first few weeks but she hardly slept. We found the only place she would sleep is her swing so we gave in and she does all her sleeping there. Lately we have been trying to get her to sleep in her crib but have had no luck. My mom came over one night and put her on her stomach to sleep in crib and amazingly she slept so well. Dh is very against her sleeping on stomach because of SIDS but I just want her to sleep and that's the only way she will! What do I do?
