I dont think this is healthy

They have been doing construction to our lobby and stairs for over a month now. Well they were cutting metal and welding last month so the upstairs filled smoke and burnt medal. My desk is right at the top of the stairs. Well now they are painting the stair case. Is so strong the fumes are aweful. I tried to ask that they open a door to air it out downstairs because I dont think its safe I breathe them in. They said no bc it will just make it worse bc its really windy. 

I am so tempted to ask that I go home for the day.
