Blood clot...any advice?

Hi ladies... So after a stressful 2 days of brown bleeding, I found out that a small piece of my placenta separated and formed a small blood clot. The doctor said that most of the time, the woman's body will reabsorb the clot. I am resting and relaxing (right) and I have to wait for my anatomy scan on February 16th to see if the clot shrinks/disappears. My question is, has anyone ever had this or heard of it? I'm pretty concerned but trying not to worry too much for the baby's sake. I just want us both to be healthy and safe and okay. If anyone has experience or advice with this type of thing, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks in advance!
