A PSA about the glucose test

I tend to wander around boards when work is slow and a couple posts have reminded me of something.  I see that some doctors have you drink the drink at home and then drive to wherever you'll get your blood drawn (I just saw that in a post earlier today).  But then I think about the response I gave to someone I think it was yesterday, who was concerned by how horrible she felt during the test, thinking she'd failed.

I know most people don't end up feeling horrible but I can say that if I had taken the drink at home and then gotten in the car, I probably would have been in a car accident.  I was so dizzy, sweaty, shaky and ready to throw up that I was almost laying on the floor of the clinic when the nurses rushed out to help me.  And I DID pass the test! haha  

Anyway, just wanted to throw it out there that, even though it may be inconvenient, you might want to keep in mind whether or not you want to drive after taking the drink or if you'd rather take it right there in the office
