Dying your own hair....taboo how many have done it?

I know this is a taboo topic but speaking to my friends a lot admitted to it. I'm pretty sure my mom got a perm when pregnant with me but new recommendations are very strict. I am a stay at home mom who is pregnant, and watches 4 kids under 26 months m-f...and my dh works weekends...I cannot find the time to get my hair done!!!!!! My dark roots are coming through good with going on 7 months of grow out...just curious how many have dyed their own hair, if any....thoughts
