Safe cold sore treatment

January 2012 in 2nd Trimester

So I woke up this morning with a fast growing cold sore. This is only the second one I've ever had, the first was when I had mastitis when DD was 4 months old. My husband occasionally gets them so we have some Lysene Plus here. Does anyone know if this is safe to use before I make a call to my OB?
