Strange over-heated, faint feeling, anyone else?!

I was at work today and suddenly out of nowhere I felt really overheated, to the point I was literally sweating... I am normally the first to feel cold, and everyone else in the office today was with comfortable or cold,   As soon as I started feeling hot, I got lightheaded and dizzy and thought I might pass-out.  I was very shaky, as well.  I was not doing anything physical, I was sitting at my desk when the symptoms started.  I drank a glass of water and ate a snack, but it didn't help much.  I have been eating every two hours or so and keeping hydrated.  I have had these strange symptoms twice now, I am calling the Dr. in the morning but was wondering if any one has experienced anything like this and what was the cause.....
