BFing after anesthesia question.

I had a brief, 15 minute procedure today under anesthesia. The first anesthesiologist told me to pump and dump for 24 hours before I resumed nursing. I asked another if I needed to wait that long and he said 12 hours would be plenty. 

 

I have enough pumped to get her through 12-15 hours. Then I'll either have to nurse or give formula.

 

I'd much prefer to nurse, but don't want to chance any harm for baby of course. I've read conflicting things on the Internet.
