Enfamil vs. Similac Powder Formula

 I have been using Similac ready to feed for the past 3 months.  I want to try to switch over to powder since the liquid form is getting to expensive.  I have tried to give my Lo's a bottle of the Similac Powder but all they do is scream.  To me it seems that there are way to many bubbles in the bottle.  Also, sometimes the formula looks clumpy.  So then I tried giving them a powder bottle again but this time, I put a drop of the gas drops in the bottle and made the bottle ahead of time to let the bubbles settle.  DD still screamed but not as much.  

So today at work someone gave my husband a sample of the Enfamil Gentlease.  My question is, Is there a difference between Enfamil and Similac?  How do I avoid clumping in the formula?  Has anyone had the same problem as me?
