Stomach pains

This is my first baby/pregnancy so I'm not sure whats normal and what's not as far as stomach and growing pains go.  The past few days or so I've been really uncomfortable.  I think I have the round ligament pains under my belly but I'm also having some pains on the sides and top of my stomach too.  I'm thinking they may be gas pains but I just really don't know.  How do I know what's normal and what's something to be concerned about?
