confused about breastfeeding/feeling like I'm doing it wrong?

So, until just now I thought all there was to breastmilk was: pump it, refrigerate, heat up, feed. Now I just read a few articles about foremilk/hindmilk, separating the two? My son has had a few green poopy diapers the past two days, so I googled it, just seeing if it was a problem, and have been reading some pretty confusing things. Can someone please give me an overview of what I need to be doing? I'm exclusively pumping.
