pocket fetal doppler

so at 14 weeks i'm still not "feeling"pregnant, and i certainly don't look it - so i took some advice and got an at home fetal doppler. of course i cannot for the life of me find the baby's heartbeat, but have no trouble picking up my own! has anyone had luck with these? am i still to early to pick up the heartbeat on the at home kind?
