Today marks 5 years since the the murders of Channon Christian and Chris Newsom..

I'm not sure if this ever made national news. Channon was my sisters best friend, and it hit close to home. It was also the worst murders East Tennessee has ever had. They were carjacked, both raped, and murdered. Chris was burned alive, and they dismembered Channon. 

all 4 of the people involved were either given the death penalty, or life...and then the judge stepped down and admitted to drug abuse during the trial. All 4 of those terrible people were granted new trials...and they're supposed to start soon.  

It makes me sick that their parents, and my sister, along with half on Knoxville will have to it through all these trials again.
