Newborn footprints

I really want to have my baby's footprints taken before we leave the hospital. I am planning on displaying them on the wall in the nursery. I was talking to my friend who has 2 kids already and she said the hospital didn't take prints either time! I know my footprints were taken as a newborn so I was kind of surprised by this. So now I am figuring out how to get it done myself just in case.  found this kit called Baby Safe Ink Print Kit - has anyone used it? Or is anyone planning on making sure prints are taken? How? Thanks!
