Strange fetal movement

Hey ladies!  So, I just called my midwife's office and the lady at the front desk said that she would get her to call me back so while I wait I'll go ahead and see if any of you ladies have experienced this.  A few nights ago I felt this really strong, rapid banging sensation in one spot of my uterus.  Almost as if the baby was punching a punching bag really fast.  I know what normal movements feel like but this one was like BOOMBOOMBOOM and then she went back to moving normally. I haven't felt her do this sense but I've heard horror stories of fetal seizures and I'm kinda sorta freaking out.  Do any of y'all know what this might be?
