Abnormal AFP

Tell me your experience (if any) with the AFP screening. I opted out  of it with my first son. I'm using a different doctor this time around and I wasn't given the option. My blood was drawn last Wednesday.

The nurse from the office called today to tell me that my results were abnormal. She did not specify the results and I was too shocked to think to ask. I have a level 2 u/s scheduled next Tuesday.

I know there can be false positives. I know there is a good chance that everything is fine.  I would just like to hear some personal experiences. Thanks.
