Growth Spurt at 2 Weeks?

I have seen people mention babies having a growth spurt at 2 weeks. Is this true? My baby is about 2 and a half weeks old and now all of a sudden at night he is waking up every hour to eat but he only eats about an ounce (he eats 3 ounces during the day). He has been fussier then normal too. When he sleeps he is fussing in his sleep. Could he be going through this growth spurt? Is there anything to do to make him calmer?
