Question about registering

I'm pretty sure there won't be a shower or anything for this baby, since it's our second, but I'd like to register a few places anyway for the coupon at the end.  We don't really need much.  We already have most of our NEEDS.  The things we want are either upgrades or replacements from over-use with our son (my Moby wrap got WAY too stretched out during the first three months of his little life when he thought 9 PM - 3 AM was an awesome time for a party EVERY NIGHT).  ANd then things that just need to be replaced with each child (nipples and some pieces to my pump).  Anyway!  

Is there a problem starting the registry online and then going in-store to finish up?  (I seem to remember that Target didn't want to give me a coupon book last time I did it that way, but I don't even know if they do that anymore!)  We don't have a Buy Buy Baby here.  I might register at a CD shop though for a few more things to add to our NB cloth stash (I sold some off last time).
