Question/poll for teachers.. Students on Facebook?

A lot of teachers add students at the school where I work. I have always thought it was a huge NO, but I see more and more teachers (who I am friends with on FB) adding students as "friends". Almost every single teacher is adding students now. Am I a huge snob for ignoring or denying? Im just not sure how I feel about it..
