Gagging while latching on...

My DD has had some trouble with breastfeeding, but the last 2 weeks have been going very well. Today I noticed she has been gagging on my nipple as she starts to latch and then she lets go. She does finally latch, but it is after many attemps and lots of gagging. Is my let down too forceful or is it something else? She only does it on my right breast. Any thoughts and info would be greatly appreciated. Happy New Year everyone:)
