Question about gas

Hi! Newbie and FTM here.

My 2 week old has been having a crying fit for the past 2 nights. The crying comes in waves along with a BM so I am suspecting gas is the cause or else he hates pooping.

His crying really upsets me b/c I can't seem to do anything to help. He scrunches his face and looks so pitiful.  I've tried burping, the swing, and the bouncer. I know he's not hungry b/c this happens about an hour after his feeding. Just wondering if this is normal or if I should be using gas drops.

I have a call into the pediatrician and just waiting for them to call me. TIA!
