crib question--baby getting stuck in slats

I don"t know if I have a wonderkid or not but my 5 week old rolls over in his sleep.  From 2 weeks old he was wiggling and scooting and turning on his side/stomach.  Pediatrician said it was okay as long as I started him on his back.  Well this week he started rolling over and several times I have found him on his tummy or side with his arm and leg stuck in the slats of the crib.  This morning he was stuck and screaming.  I know you should not have a bumper but what do you do when LO is getting stuck?
