Childbirth for a squeamish mommy?

Ok, so I took it upon myself to watch a childbirth video on youtube. I'm freaking out a little bit, and here's why:

I am EXTREMELY squeamish. So much so that I get nervous and feel faint when having blood drawn. Now, let's be honest, obviously I don't expect this to be a walk in the park. But is it different watching someone else doing it and actually doing it yourself? I guess I'm hoping someone will tell me that, when you're wrapped up in the moment, you don't even notice the blood/needles etc. Any other squeamish mommies? Is my fear irrational??
