Any BFers still dealing with oversupply? Very frustrated

I'm getting so frustrated. I seem to still have an overactive letdown/oversupply. (I credit the LC's who told me that I needed to feed DS every 2 hours and pump after each feeding just because I was using a nipple shield in the beginning, despite my many efforts to tell them that I thought I had plenty of milk.) DS gulps the entire time he eats, even if I take him off during a letdown and put him back on after. He is constantly pulling off the boob to catch his breath and I'm sure because his stomach hurts too. I have to stop more than a few times during each feeding because he is crying, burp him, calm him down, and get him latched back on- only to have another letdown and deal with it all over again. Everything I read says that your supply should regulate by 12 weeks but we are getting awfully close and it doesn't seem to be getting better. I'm starting to wonder if BFing will ever be the natural, relaxing experience I pictured it to be.
