When pooping wakes you up.

Anyone else have a LO that wakes up to poop or it seems like it's a lot of work to poop? My DD wakes up crying in the middle of her naps in the middle of the night, then cries, and strains, and then finally poops. Then she goes back to her usual quiet self. It's almost like it hurts and I don't know if there is anything I can do but let her cry until she poops. Any advice?
