Bright red spotting

It's been almost 5 weeks since I delivered and I have bright red spotting. It's not a lot of blood and I don't feel cramping. I just think it's odd that I have fresh blood. It had been brown and some days there is no bleeding. Anyone else experience this and what have you found out?
