sleeping to long during the day?

how long should a 7 week old be sleeping during the day?? he wakes up to eat about every 2.5-3 hours. just want to make sure he is not over sleeping since he doesn't stay up that long during the day to play (does not grab things yet) thanks for the info ladies!
