In need of honest opinions

My back has popped out of place and ouch it hurts. Anyway everyone including my doctors office has asked me about taking pain meds. Like stronger than tylenol pain meds. 

If my doctor prescribes them to me then it should be okay right? I just really dont want to do anything that would hurt the baby. Obviously im going to ask my doctor about all of this when i go in but i was just wondering if anyone knew anything about taking pain meds while pregnant

How safe it is? If its a bad idea? or knows anyone whose taken them while pregnant?
