8 week old has diarrhea...

She's been having diarrhea for the past 48 hours. Pedi said to give her pedialyte however, my friend is an RN who works in a NICU dept, said that LO is too little to give her anything and to just continue giving her the formula and it should stop on its own.

I'm confused on what to do. Any advice/suggestions would be helpful. TIA
