How are you dealing with the smells?!

Do our over-sensitive noses last the whole 9 months? I was hoping as I got into my 2nd trimester that some of the more difficult symptoms would pass- I have hyperemesis as it is.. so I still get sick pretty easily, meds or not. Especially when smells trigger it. I live in an apartment, and the woman next door cooks some sort of hispanic dish every single day. Now, pre-pregnancy, if I were this sensitive to smells, i might have been drooling over it. But she starts at like 7am, and that spicy smell mixed with my candles and all that stuff I use to try to cover it up makes me get sick every single morning. My mom works in a nursing home and suggested using a little vicks vaporub under my nose to mask it, but Ive got about 4 more months til my lease is up, and if I can still smell like this the whole time Im worried Ill never enjoy being at home ever again!! Hubs tells me just not to think about it. Really? lol not workin. anyone else?
