Pack N Play or use crib?

Right now we are in a 2BD home and wont be moving into our new home until 3+months after #2 arrives.  We thought about moving our DD into her big kids bed and then baby #2 can use the crib but im worried neither will get any sleep and be able to play in the room while the other is sleeping.  But Im also concerned that if we get a pack n play or a cosleeper for the first few months for baby #2 (that we would put in our room) that itll be hard for him to transition into the crib once we are ready.  Any advice from anyone thats dealt with this???
