Baby has day/night mixed up

So I think my baby has his days and nights mixed up. He sleeps super soundly during the day, so much so that it is often difficult to wake him up, but he wakes frequently during the night and when he does wake up at night he will have his eyes open and it takes a while to rock him back to sleep. I am desperate to get some sleep at night so any advice would be appreciated!
