Another mirena question-when put in?

Hi ladies. If you have mirena when did you get it inserted? My 6 wk pp appt is next wk and I am interested in possibly getting this before year end because I've already met my out of pocket amount. But the insurance girl at my dr office said they usually won't put it in til 8 wk pp. She said my dr might do it for me, but wasn't sure if this is a normal practice. This is my 2nd baby, both c section. Thanks!
