Ghosts?

I know it is not Halloween season but what do you think of this? So DH wakes me up this morning at 5am, claiming he is hearing ghost noises all night. He says it sounds like squeaky doors opening /closing. We live in a very cold,old house... yet we have lived here over 5 years, and I have never heard or felt anything! Last night it was extra cold, because we decided to leave the heater off all night... Does anyone know what are the scientific explanations for this? Could the cold drafts cause the squeaks? Or do you think he could be right? Or maybe DH is just loosing it with the stress of his job, & new baby on the way!
