Question about Snugabunny Swing

I cant find the booklet that came w/ the swing & tried to look online. DS is 2 months & weighs 12 lbs. Does the cushiony insert need to come out at some point when baby is too big? Also have you adjusted the recline & changed swing direction yet? If so at what age was your LO?
