6 weeks and more milk??

Our 6.5 week old was taking 4 oz by bottle once a day and nursed the other times. DH has been giving him a bottle at the nightly feeding with BM. Now he gulps it down and wants more!!

One night at about 10:30pm I nursed him and he was still fussy so I gave him 2oz of formula afterwards. He ate it and wanted more! I fixed 2 more oz and he took 1oz of it totaling 3 oz of formula plus what he got from my breasts. Is this a growth spurt and normal? 

Should I up his BM bottle at night to 5oz or more?
