2nd Time Mom - Baby Showers?

It's been almost 6 years since our DS was born and we sold/gave away all of our baby stuff.  Have any of the 2nd time+ moms had a baby shower someone put together for them?  We always do diaper showers or such for our friends that are having their second or third, but wasn't sure what others do when it's been several years between and the family does not have baby stuff anymore.  We plan to register for things we need so close family that wants to do something for baby #2 can use it if they'd like.... but didn't want to list too many things if a diaper shower would be more appropriate 2nd time around.
