Is there a growth spurt around 1 month?

My son seems to be crying a lot lately and doesn't want to nap unless we are holding him. I never used to be like this. Lately he has been having gas issues and I picked up gas drops and those seem to be helping. He ate 4 oz and then 2 hours later ate another 2.5 oz.... but doesn't seem to want to nap now after. Is he going through a growth spurt? He cries a lot more lately... is this what colic is?
