OK so this has been bugging me... MIL vent

I know that I shouldn't let it bug me... but it TOTALLY does.  We found out last wednesday what we are having ( a little girl ) and I was completely ELATED!  I kept telling my DH that we're having a "piper" and he'd just smile.  (He shows his excitedness a lot different than I would prefer but that's just his personality...)  Well my mom is BEYOND excited, when I called my dad he started laughing and you could hear the smile on his face he was so excited... 

Now the part that bugs me... We called his mom (she lives in KY) to tell her about the exciting news.  She immediately asks "what is it?" we tell her to guess, and she says "BOY!"  My DH says "nope!  GIRL!"  She says "well... that's ok too."

 THAT'S OK TOO?!  Who says that?!  THAT'S OK TOO?!  I was expecting a squeal of excitement, or a YAY! or SOMETHING!  I was NOT expecting "that's ok too..."  

I  just told her "well... we can't change it now..." then I walked away from the phone.  UGH!
