Why does it hurt?

It has been 2 months since STBX said he wanted a divorce. I just found out today that he is dating the homewrecker he cheated on me with now. We aren't divorced yet. I wish it didn't hurt like this. I know I am better off without him but that doesn't make it hurt less.
