No a/s until 26 weeks??!

I just called my dr. to find out if we'd be doing an u/s at our next appt. I'll be 15 weeks, and haven't had one since 10 weeks. She said I won't get another u/s and the a/s until I'm at least 26 weeks! Is this ridiculous? I have seen most people posting about their baby's sex at 18-20 weeks.
