Wean swaddle?

We are still swaddling LO, 11 weeks, and I think he still likes it. I just bought large summer infant swaddles that fit up to 20lbs, but was wondering how long I should swaddle? And how did you wean your LO from the swaddle? Last night he was fussing and got his arm out to suck his hand and I'm wondering if he would sleep longer if he had his hand to suck. He has recently been waking every hour to just suckle and comfort nurse and rock, not even eat a full feed. Could swaddling be preventing his sleep? Any input is great! TIA!
