Group beta strep and sex?

December 2011 in 2nd Trimester

Hi Ladies,

My OB said that my urine test showed positive for group beta strep. They said it's not an issue right now and during labor and delivery I will receive antibiotics.

My question is.....Is it ok to have sex if you test positive for this? Is it something that you could pass onto your husband? It's bothering me and I forgot to ask when I was on the phone.
