My husband is more excited about this baby than I am, and I didn't think that was possible. Ever since he found out baby could hear, he's been reading a bedtime story. We talked to a friend of ours who is a midwife and also recently had a baby. She said she read a rotation of 2 or 3 books throughout the 2nd and 3rd trimesters and also played music on her violin. She told us that when after her baby was born, her ears would perk up at the books and music and she could tell baby recognized them. So excited to see if this happens for us too.
