Switching from Alimentum

We have been using Similac Alimentum from day one. We tried to switch to another Similac brand (I think it was the orange one) when she was 4 weeks old. The result was mucus in her stool and microscopic blood and she was fussy.. of course. So we switched back to Alimentum. We are moving to Germany and I want to stock up a on formula, before switching. How long can we keep her on Alimentum (she is 9 weeks old)? Should we? Shall I try switching to a smilac non-sensitive formula? Can it make her uber-sensitive, if I do not "expose" her to regular formula? I don't think she is lactose intolerant. 

I will talk to her Ped on Friday, but would appreciate your advice.
