First off let me say that I hate that some if not most of us are dealing with manipulative ex SOs and are still learning how to "deal" with them.

Anyway my XH had texted me the other day saying that "he had sunday off, but no money to come for visitation, so I will just wait for Christmas." He has used the financial excuse before and that is not what bothers me, and Christmas has been worked out.

I just don't know if I even need to respond with "ok." I am trying to stay away from "please's and thank you's" even though I want to be as civil as possible. I feel if I even respond "Thank you for letting me know" he will take it as an in for "text conversation."
