taste of reflux med

My DD just started Zantac. I cannot get her to swallow it. She swallows her Vit. D and Little Tummies pretty well. I think she likes the taste of those, but the Zantac is not appetizing. I finally thought I got her to swallow some tonight and then she projectile puked it up. Does anyone know if any of the alternative reflux meds taste better? And anyone have more success with another type after using Zantac?
